Directory

Every venue on one checklist, with the price on the page.

Job boards, listing and review sites and locum agencies each describe themselves in their own terms. The directory describes all of them in the same fields, so they can be compared line by line, and dates every price it prints.

The directories.

Three directories cover the two directions physician advertising runs: employers reaching physicians, and practices reaching patients.

Physician job boards and career centers

19 boards listed · verified

The boards and career centers where hospitals, groups and recruiters post physician openings, from the general boards to the specialty societies and the journals.

Every listing records

  • What a posting costs and how long it runs
  • Whether there is a free tier, and whether employers can search CVs
  • Which specialties it carries, and whether it has a locum section
  • Who posts there: hospitals, groups, recruiters, or all three
  • Whether a physician can list for free
  • Who owns it, and since when

Doctor listing and review sites

14 sites listed · verified

The booking sites, review sites and doctor directories where patients look for a physician, described from the side of the practice that pays to be there.

Every listing records

  • How it charges: per booking, by subscription, or nothing
  • How a practice claims and edits its profile
  • How reviews are collected, shown and disputed
  • Which specialties and practice types it is built for
  • What it says about its own audience, quoted with the date

Locum tenens agencies

15 agencies listed · verified

The agencies that place physicians in temporary assignments, described for the physician taking the work and for the facility paying for the cover.

Every listing records

  • Which specialties and states it staffs
  • Who carries the malpractice coverage, and what kind
  • How the physician is paid, as the agency publishes it
  • Whether it serves facilities, physicians, or both

How we check prices.

A price without a date is a guess. Every number in the directory comes from a data file that records where it was read, when, and whether it could be confirmed.

  1. Read on the venue’s own page

Every price comes from the board’s, site’s or agency’s own pricing or terms page, never from a review or a reseller. Nothing is scraped and no login is used.

  2. Dated and linked

Each figure carries the day it was read and a link to the page it was read on. The listing’s Verified stamp shows the most recent of those dates.

  3. Labelled when unconfirmed

A price that sits behind a quote form or could not be confirmed is marked as such, or left blank. It is never printed as checked.

  4. Checked again every quarter

Posting prices change. Each quarter every pricing page is read again, and a row older than 90 days is flagged until it is.

What is never for sale.

The order and the facts

No venue can pay to change its row, its position in a table or the verdict on its page. Sponsored placements, when they run, are labelled and kept apart from the ranked tables.

Logos and copy

Venues appear by name only. Their logos and marketing copy are not reused, and a venue that wants a fact corrected sends the page that shows it.
