About

An independent reference on physician advertising.

PhysicianAds explains where to advertise to physicians and to patients, what each venue costs, and what the rules allow. It runs no ads on behalf of anyone, places no physicians and sells no rankings.

What the site is.

Physician advertising runs in two directions. Hospitals, groups, recruiters and vendors advertise to physicians: job boards, locum agencies, journals and networks. Physicians and practices advertise to patients: listing and review sites, paid search, websites. Each venue publishes its terms in its own words, and many hide the price behind a quote form.

PhysicianAds puts those venues on one checklist. It holds directories of the boards, sites and agencies with what each costs, calculators that turn those costs into decisions, a marketing guide and a recruiting guide for each specialty, physician pay by specialty and state from federal data, and the advertising rules each state medical board enforces.

It is not an agency, not a job board and not a recruiter. It does not host ads, take a fee to list a venue, or change a listing for money. How sponsored placements will work, once there are enough readers for them, is set out on the advertise page.

How numbers are checked.

A price without a date is a guess, and a rule without a citation is a rumor. Every number the site prints comes from a data file that records where it was read, when, and whether it could be confirmed.

  1. Read at the source

Prices come from the venue’s own pricing or terms page, pay figures from the federal survey, rules from the board or agency that wrote them. Never from a review, a reseller or another reference site.

  2. Dated and linked

Every figure records the page it was read on and the day. Pages show that date in the Verified stamp, and the source link sits beside it.

  3. Labelled when uncertain

A figure behind a quote form, a survey estimate or a number that could not be confirmed is labelled as what it is, or left out. Nothing unconfirmed is printed as checked.

  4. Read again on a schedule

Directory prices are read again every quarter and flagged after 90 days; pay figures change with each annual federal release; rules pages are checked when a board changes its regulations.

  5. Corrected in the open

A reader or a venue who finds an error sends the page that shows the right figure. Once it checks out, the data changes and the date moves.

What the domain was before.

physicianads.com has been on the web since the late 1990s. Archived copies from 1999 show a classified ad service by medical specialty: physicians placed free ads looking for positions, and hospitals, practices and recruiters paid to advertise openings, each on a page for one specialty (36 of them by late 2000). The site also sold banner space and practice website design, and listed medical links and the state licensing boards.

The ad service faded in the late 2000s. From 2013 the domain was parked, then unused, then offered for sale.

physicianads.com changed hands in September 2026. It is now published by an independent publisher and is not connected to any other “-ads.com” medical domain, or to the people who ran the domain before. Old addresses from the classified ad years lead to the closest page on the new site.

Who publishes it.

PhysicianAds is published independently. It has no owner, partner or investor among the boards, sites, agencies and vendors it describes. Where a listed venue runs a referral program and the site uses it, the listing says so, and the referral never changes the facts, the order or the verdict.

The only address that reaches the people who write and check the site is contact@email.physicianads.com. Older addresses that appeared on this domain before 2026 are not ours and are not read.
