Placements that are labelled and never change the facts.
PhysicianAds will carry a small number of sponsored and featured placements once it has the readers to make them worth buying. This page says how they work before anyone pays for one.
What a placement is.
A sponsored placement is a clearly labelled box beside a directory table or at the end of a guide, naming a venue or a vendor and linking to it. A featured placement highlights a listing that is already in the directory on its own merits, with the label “Featured” next to it.
Placements are sold by family and by audience, for a fixed period, and shown apart from the ranked tables. There are no prices yet, and none will be printed here until placements open.
What a placement never does
- Change a listing’s facts, its price fields or its verified date
- Move a venue up a table, into a comparison or out of one
- Buy a followed link: sponsored links carry rel="sponsored" and are marked
- Appear inside a ranked table or a calculator result
- Buy a guide’s verdict, a mention in a guide, or silence about a competitor

What this domain used to sell.
Around 2000, physicianads.com sold ad pages by specialty to hospitals, practices and recruiters, and banner space across the site. That business ended long ago, and this site does not sell ad pages. The old prices are a record of what physician advertising cost then.
